A story from the Reformation in the Netherlands (1556-1566). This is the first edition in English. The publishers describe it as "an excellent story also for teenagers to read." "At a signal from Del Castro, a man was admitted into the room whose head and the upper part of his body were covered with a white bag, with peepholes on the places where his eyes were. Harva Hiddesz turned pale. Of all the kinds of sharp examination, the drip was by far the easiest, but also the most terrifying one." Author: W.J.D. Van Dijck. Pages: 155 HB

The Inquisitor's Secretary
I enjoyed this story of Dutch reformers and what one particular man, Harm Hiddes, went through to be faithful to Jesus. I believe most young people would enjoy this book. There's some terminology that we aren't familiar with, but it can be looked up to see the meaning of the words. Also, this book was written by a Protestant who has a different understanding of some Bible teachings than what SDA's do, so keep that in mind. They had come out of the Catholic Church and had some concepts of scripture that the Church taught. All in all, it is definitely worth reading!
